BHC Intake Therapist III - Part Time
Part Time .75 with Part Time Benefits. Sat/Sun/Mon schedule Days / Evenings Blended.
Collects data about the healthcare status of the patient/family in a systematic way to determine the need and type of care and treatment to be provided. Coordinates and evaluates all pertinent resources existing to expedite the patient's return to baseline functioning through appropriate treatment intervention. Demonstrates advanced level of assessment skills and completes a comprehensive psychosocial evaluation on all assigned patients in a systematic way to determine the need and type of care and treatment provided and will complete the psychosocial evaluation within the reasonable time frame. Appraises the need for intervention through critical, objective evaluations of relevant data.
Demonstrates an advanced level of knowledge and understanding of patient's diagnosis, prognosis, care needs, and discharge goals for both psychiatric and substance abuse diagnoses and for all ages groups. Demonstrates advanced level of crisis intervention skills and diversional techniques, as appropriate then interacting with patient and family members. Demonstrates the ability to assess patient's immediate needs as well as coordinate and evaluate all pertinent resources existing to expedite patient's return to baseline functioning. Specifies needs and strengths in the assessment process, which serves as guidelines for treatment and discharge planning. Demonstrates the use of advanced level critical thinking skills and problems solving abilities in recommending levels of care.

Master's degree in behavioral health field and at least 2 years of crisis and/or assessment experience.
Current license as a LAC, LPC, LMSW, LMAFT, LMFT, LASAC, LSAC or eligible for licensure (licensure at the independent level preferred)
